Upcoming events (subject to change due to Covid restrictions)

Synette Mai Celebration: Monday May 17th at the Riverside Park Shelter in St. Cloud, MN. Riverside Park, St. Cloud, MN – click here for directions.
We are planning a special Synette Mai Celebration and we hope you can all be a part of it.  This will be an outside event with access to the indoor shelter also. Activities include:
Family parade: meet at 5:45 outside the shelter to get your free Norwegian flag. At 6:00 we will have a easy walking parade for all ages and return to the shelter for ice cream around 6:30. This is a very traditional activity for May 17 in Norway.
Synette Mai picnic and program: Around 7 p.m. we will host a free Norwegian picnic meal for all members and guests. Nothing to bring just come! Following the picnic our program will feature a Norwegian concert featuring Bud and Marlys Larsen will play a variety of Scandinavian songs on Hardanger fiddle and mandolin.

Should the weather be uncomfortable the warming house is large enough to allow for social distancing during the program. Current CDC guidelines will be used to insure a safe healthy event, please bring a mask if mask guidelines are still in place. We are planning for enough food for 50 people, so please consider joining us.

Youtube video: our April 19th Cultural Night featuring Robert “Bud “Larsen, Brainerd presenting “Hardanger Fiddle’s Journey”. Click here to go to Youtube and see  the program.

Newsletter coordinator: we are still in need of someone to coordinate the newsletter. It is published six times a year. Some computer skills are necessary, but can be trained.
